Sarga 38
In the thirty seventh Sarga, Sita declines Hanuma's offer to carry her on his back and unite her with Rama. Sita agreed that Hanuma can kill all the Rakshasas. Hanuma can carry her back too. But then she said that if that were to happen, "rāghavasya yaśō hīyēt'| Raghava's fame will be affected. In addition her vow of being a devoted wife too will be affected, if she follows Hanuma's suggestion. So, she says it is more appropriate that, Rama comes to Lanka, defeats Ravana and takes her back. I ringing tone she says "tat tasya sadr̥śaṁ" - that is appropriate for him: Hanuma praises her reply and says, -" tat tē sadr̥śaṁ", "That is just so appropriate coming from you".
Then Hanuman asks for a remembrance which Rama will recognize. Sita in response relates the story of Crow, which is the main theme if Sarga thirty-eight.
Now we go through the Slokas of Sarga 38.

tataḥ sa kapiśārdūlaḥ tēna vākyēna harṣitaḥ|
sītāmuvāca tat śrutvā vākyaṁ vākya viśāradaḥ||38.01||
sa|| tataḥ tat vākyaṁ śrutvā tēna vākyēna harṣitā vākya viśāradaḥ kapiśārdūlaḥ sītāṁ uvāca||

tataḥ tat vākyaṁ śrutvā -
having heard those words,
tēna vākyēna harṣitā -
delighted with her words
vākya viśāradaḥ kapiśārdūlaḥ -
best among Vanaras, eloquent in speech

earlier at the foot of northeast part of Chitrakuta mountain

maṁdākinyāṁ adūrataḥ -
not far from river Mandakini
tāpasāśramavāsinyāḥ maḥ -
living in the ascetic's hermitages.

By saying that the crow released by Rama , made obeisance to Dasaratha too and left, it is hinted that during the phase of running away from the Brahmastra released by Rama, though nobody came forward to help, Dasaratha also in Svarga advised the crow to seek protection of Rama himself. Protecting those who seek refuge is the family trait of Ikshwakus is also hinted at in this sequence.
Govindaraja in his Tika says- daśarathāya svalōkasthatayā pūrvamēva mitrāya iti| aṁṭē tanalōkamulōnē( svargamulōnē) vunnāḍu kanuka, pūrvapu mitratvamu valana namaskāramu ceppāḍu ani|

This is the remembrance narrated by Sita. The message in this story is clear. Sita is effectively saying, 'Oh, Rama like the crow, I also deserve protection'. She conveys that as her message.

Govindaraja says in his Tika as follows :-gōvindarājulavāru tama ṭīkālō ilā vyākhyānistāru- parākramamulō sāṭi evvarū lēru ani ayinā tana sthitini guriṁci nirlakṣyamu eṁduku cēstunnāru ani ceppi ikkaḍa dāniki kāraṇamu tanu eppuḍō cēsina duṣkarmayē ani ikkaḍa ceputōṁdi sīta aṁṭāru.
Sita called herself "alpa puṇyā" etc. and said, 'kīdr̥śaṁ pāpaṁ purā janmāṁtarē kr̥taṁ' 'What kind of sin I might have committed in my earlier life'.
She blamed herself earlier also and now says the same to Hanuma too. In the blame she attributes for herself, we have another echo.
The devotees who believe that the Supreme one is the only one,
do not resort to blaming him for their misfortune. They will acknowledge the difficulties are a result of their actions. They believe that they must go through the consequences to reach their destination. Sita too, in blaming herself, is showing us the same path.
Thinking of the sins she may have committed , Sita says 'kiṁci mahat asti' -meaning that she must have committed a big sin.
Elaborating on that Appalacharyulu garu says the following.
Impropriety against Bhagavan is a sin. Impropriety against follower of Bhagavan is a bigger sin. When Rama was to leave for the forests to uphold his father's words, Sita wants to follow Rama to the forests. She gives many reasons why she should be allowed. While pleading her case Sita says in her anger, 'If my father Janaka come to know that you have not taken your wife to forests, he may think that a woman came in disguise and married his daughter!' This taunt, though in anger, is an impropriety.
An impropriety against Bhagavan. It is quite simply a Sin.
Again, while they were in the forests, Rama goes after golden deer and kills the same. Maricha in his dying moments says, 'Oh Sita! Oh Lakshmana', in Rama's voice. Then Sita forces Lakshmana to go for rescue of Rama, using very harsh language. That is an impropriety against the follower of Bhagavan. That is a greater impropriety. Sita realizes that she is reaping the results of corresponding improprieties .

In response to Hanuma's request for message to Rama , Sita says "For my sake bowing the head, ask the well-being of him,
who is the lord of the worlds whom Kausalya bore"?
Here while giving her message, she addresses Rama as, 'lōkabhartāram', a protector of the world. What is heard in that is a loud request. 'Oh, protector of the world I too deserve your protection'. Sita's salutations envelop that request for protection.
Believing in the Supreme one bows to the God thinking, 'I am not for myself; I am yours', Then it is God who takes you to the other shore. Here Sita is showing that path

Rama Tika says- 'yēna sumitra supraja śōbhanaputravatī' means because of whom Sumitra got the epithet of great mother, referring to Lakshmana.
While enquiring about the well-being of Lakshmana , Sita uses very positive references , starting with , "srajaśca sarva ratnāni " , having given up riches etc . the three commentators of Tika Traya , all indicate these words of Sita are the words keeping in mind the previous events, stories etc Sita used very harsh language to reluctant Lakshmana to drive him to behind Rama and help him. Post abduction Sita realizes that she was unfair to Lakshmana. Here now while referring Lakshmana, Sita uses full range of positive messages.

Rama Tika combines these lines with query about Lakshmana's well-being and state as follows - 'sa lakṣmaṇaḥ mamārthāya yathā duḥkha kṣayakarō bhavēt tathā vaktavyaḥ'; speak in a way that Lakshmana will act to reduce Sita's sorrow. Sita also adds that Hanumans is the right person to accomplish all of that
